8GB
Horizon Forbidden West 3060 is faster than the 2080 Super despite the former usually competing with the 2070. Also 3060 has a better 1% low than 4060 and 4060Ti 8GB.

Resident Evil Village 3060TI/3070 tanks at 4K and is slower than the 3060/6700XT when ray tracing:

Company Of Heroes 3060 has a higher minimum than the 3070TI:

10GB / 12GB

Reasons why still shipping 8GB since 2014 isn't NV's fault.
  1. It's the player's fault.
  2. It's the reviewer's fault.
  3. It's the developer's fault.
  4. It's AMD's fault.
  5. It's the game's fault.
  6. It's the driver's fault.
  7. It's a system configuration issue.
  8. Wrong settings were tested.
  9. Wrong area was tested.
  10. Wrong games were tested.
  11. 4K is irrelevant.
  12. Texture quality is irrelevant as long as it matches a console's.
  13. Detail levels are irrelevant as long as they match a console's.
  14. There's no reason a game should use more than 8GB, because a random forum user said so.
  15. It's completely acceptable for the more expensive 3070/3070TI/3080 to turn down settings while the cheaper 3060/6700XT has no issue.
  16. It's an anomaly.
  17. It's a console port.
  18. It's a conspiracy against NV.
  19. 8GB cards aren't meant for 4K / 1440p / 1080p / 720p gaming.
  20. It's completely acceptable to disable ray tracing on NV while AMD has no issue.
  21. Polls, hardware market share, and game title count are evidence 8GB is enough, but are totally ignored when they don't suit the ray tracing agenda.
According to some people here, 8GB is neeeevaaaaah NV's fault and objective evidence "doesn't count" because of reasons(tm). If you have others please let me know and I'll add them to the list. Cheers!

Has anyone benched Ryzen-G with absurd amounts of RAM vs 8GB cards? I wonder if that's a hare-vs-tortoise race :)
It doesn't matter how many fps you get if the frame pacing sucks. I'd rather have a console like locked 30-45fps with max textures, than double the fps with terrible 1s and .1s. or any of the other out of vram issues. Correct settings? More like cope settings.
(In other reviews by Daniel Owen he pointed out performance impact for 8gb 5060 ti in PS5 game Spiderman-2 & UE5 nanite game Oblivion Remastered )
Yup. 8GB users are getting cucked by PlayStation peasants with their PC ports. 🤡

I plan to as soon as Lisa Su can finish counting her cash and give the orders to release Ryzen 9000G.

Of course, more time will be spent selecting a stupid game that is modern enough and CAN be installed without a stupid game launcher.

So spend the extra $80 on the 16 GB model.

Yer not getting 30 fps on current gen AAA with Intel IGPs, lol.

(And the 3050 8 GB is faster than the 8700G, if you were trying to imply that it isn't)

3050 6GB embarrassed by a little ole APU here in 1% lows. Would be even more embarrassing if the RAM speed were higher.

9700G will hopefully make 3050 6GB a moot point. Why would casual gamers want to bother with the additional power draw and heat?

If you truly believe this, you shouldn't have any motivation to post here. We're all here to troll you apparently, so it would be a complete waste of your time to respond, because all you would be doing is encouraging us.

Huh?

This really isn't a thread about IGPs or even VRAM. It's a thread to complain about nVidia's pricing.

We are roasting AMD for their pathetic overpriced 8GB card. So WTF are you talking about? The only reason we go harder on the team green, is no one bought the 7600. 🤣 And at least it made it down to $230 for a model or 2 during the holidays. Which was much closer to what it is worth. $199 would have been enough to stop the hate. Now it's a travesty at $300+.

We all roasted the RX 7600's $270 MSRP when it released as well. It had no reason to exist in the DIY card market with $200ish 6600's in abundance. N33 should have been relegated to OEM and pro cards.

Saying this thread isn't about vram is the worst troll I've read here in ages. Poor poor Nvidia, getting dragged for pricing. It's almost like there are factors related to the saltiness about pricing, whatever could they be? Scooby Doo Mystery of the week we got here.

You are the last person I want to hear comment about pricing. You are overestimating the BOM and manufacture costs for a few years already, if the companies were paying for components as much as you imply they would be bankrupt many times over already.

Those 3 fan cards are amusing for a 160w card. Not as bad as some of the models in last two gens maybe. Hopefully then run really quiet low rpms to make it worth the size of the card.

I just built a 8600G system for my Dad. It's pretty competent at 1080p with low to medium game defaults and very playable in games that are just a few years old from several videos I saw. I tried Battlefield 2042 on it and got a solid 50-60 FPS. Sadly my Dad and step-mom only play 2D games, but it's a nice sleeper iGPU for when my son visits.
